The South-West Africa Territory Force (SWATF)  
Operational or Standing Force, 6 ethnic COIN Battalions, SWASPES, Reconnaissance Regiment, Reaction Force(91 SWA Brigade), motorised brigade, 
parachute battalion, light aircraft squadron, Area Force, 27 Area Force Units (AFU) similar to SADF Commando units.
 
101 Battalion (Ovamboland)         
Formed January 1976 as 1 Ovambo Battalion, Renamed 35 Battalion in January 1978, Renamed 101 Battalion in 1980, Early 1982 received Buffel APC                       
Mid 1982 Received first Casspirs - 1 Company of 12 Caspir Mk2, April 1984 All equiped with Casspirs                   
HQ, Support Company, Maintenace Workshop, Training wing, 4 Special service companies, 3 (later 4 platoons)  
4 Casspirs, 1 Kwevoel-50, 2 Hispano Suiza HS820 20mm cannon, 6 .50 calibre HMG, 4 MAGs, 4 60mm M4 Mk1 Patrol Mortars.
 
102 Battalion (Kakoland)                             
Formed 1978 as 37 Battalion, By Mid 1980's 4 companies.
                       
201 Battalion (West Caprivi)                           
Formed 1974 as Alpha Group, Renamed 31 Battalion in 1975, Renamed 201 Battalion in 1980, Renamed 31 Battalion in 1989 (Back to South Africa).                    
By Late 1980's comprised, HQ, Support Company, Maintenance Workshop, 2 operational groups of 3 tracker companies (early 80's 2 companies)                               
3 Platoons, 6 teams, 25 - 30 men, 3 Buffel APC, Recconnaissance Wing, 6 Tracker Groups, 5 or 6 men.
         
202 Battalion (Kavango)                                               
Formed 1975 as 34 Battalion, HQ, Support Company, 4 Companies (Buffel APC), Armoured Reconnaissance wing, 2 Platoons, 4 Eland 90   
Usually also had a attached SA Army Infantry Company.
                         
203 Battalion (Bushmanland)                                                
Formed 1977 as 36 Battalion, By Late 1980's comprised, HQ, Support Company, Maintenance Workshop, 
2 operational groups of 3 tracker companies (early 80's 2 companies), 3 Platoons, 6 teams, 25 - 30 men, 
3 Buffel APC, Recconnaissance Wing, 6 Tracker Groups, 5 or 6 men.
         
701 Battalion (East Caprivi)                                          
Formed in August 1977 as 33 Battalion, HQ, Support Company, 3 Infantry Companies, Reconnaissance Wing(Bushmen Trackers).
                         
911 Battalion (Windhoek)                                             
Formed in 1977 as 41 Battalion, Part of 91 Brigade, HQ, 5 Companies.
 
91 SWA Brigade   
HQ, 911 Battalion, 912 Battalion (Regiment Erongo), 913 Battalion (Regiment Namutoni) , Regiment Windhoek (Armoured Car Regiment)
91 Composite Field Regiment (Artillery Regiment), 91 Maintenance Unit, 91 Field Ambulance Unit, 91 Training Battalion, 91 Mobilization Centre.
