Infanterie Eenhede as Instrukteur en RSM: 6 SAI en 3 SAI Instrukteur by SA Leer Kollege 1955 – 60 RSM van SA Leer Kollege 1960 – 66 SM vd Leer 1967 – 1970 Word die eerste ontvanger van die Pro Merito Medalje (PMM) wat tydens ‘n privaat funksie in die Uniegebou deur Staats President Jim Fouche aan hom toegeken is. Tree uit as SM vd SA Leer in 1970 na 37 jr diens. (Sy opvolger was AO1 Ockert.O.Snyman) Nota: Hoof van die Leer was toe Lt Genl W P Louw

A01 J O Giliomee PMM MMM retired as Sergeant Major of the SA Army logistics command.
